Founded in 1971 by Walid Takieddine, the bureau renowedly known as Unitec Consultants, began its practice in Architecture and Interior Design, and later introduced a segment in Restoration based on a committal to revive the city of Beirut. The firm was awarded Category One in building consultants by the Ministry of Public Works in 1984 and by the Council for Development and Reconstruction in 1995. Over the years, the firms influence spread to the corners of its heritage and became textbook synonomous in honoring the systems behind Lebanese Architecture.
Under his leadership, the bureau developed into an institute that has mentored and cultivated the built envirnoment for 40 years.
Dedicated to maintaining a precedent, Unitec is now spearheaded by his descendants and their partners with an objective to honor a legacy and innovate the next chapter. The team consists of Architects, Interior Designers and Engineers who, with their respective skills, collectively
integrate their ideas to bring unison to design from concept to execution.

Recruited by Dar Al Handasah after
completing his Master Degree in Architecture from L’Academie Libanaise des Beaux Arts (ALBA), his career with the firm evolved regionally over thecourse of 10 years. From Beirut to Dubai where his team established a Design Unit focused on high end projects. After years as a Senior Architect and Project Coordinator, he decided to move back
to Lebanon in 2010 where he joined
Unitec as a Managing Partner.
With more than 25 extensive years of
diversified professional practice as a
Project Leader in Interior Design, Dana has worked for world-leading interior design firm Pierre Yves Rochon, Dar Al Handasah. Her career became specialized in FF&E with her focus being primarily in Hotels.
Started her career off as an Interior
Designer with renowned Pierre Yves
Rochon in Beirut before she went on to pursue a degree in Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design. She moved to New York City in 2006 where she joined Tihany Design, a reputable firm in Hospitality Design. In 2011, she moved back to Lebanon where she was recruited by Unitec as a Senior Design Manager.
